Terrorism Issues and Police Responses

The Medford police department has specially trained police officers in Incident Critical Management and Response. Being prepared, keeping an eye on suspicious behavior and knowing what to do in case of an emergency are all important factors in our fight against terrorism.

    • DETER/DETECT/PREVENT TERRORISM - by reporting suspicious activity that might be directed at targets of opportunity in Medford. Unexplained and unusual person (s) suspiciously placing objects and/or hiding near: bridges, key highways, travel routes, key intersections, gas lines, main water ducts, near tall buildings, chemical facilities, oil tanks/trucks, Government facilities, power lines, radio towers, MBTA/Commuter railroad tracks and/or any other location where a bomb or chemical attack could present itself.
