The City of Medford would like to remind residents that Park Medford provides Senior Citizen Parking Permits. If you or a loved one is a senior citizen 65 years old or older and a resident of Medford, you are eligible. These permits allow City Seniors to park at all kiosk metered spaces without paying the meter. Additionally, those with this permit will be able to park for three hours in all designated two hours parking zones. The cost of the permit is $25.00 and can be obtained through Park Medford. Medford’s Water Department will be replacing a valve in the water system at approximately 9PM tonight (September 26th) which will affect Vernon Street, parts of Allston Street, parts of Brooks Street, Boylston Terrace, and Baxter Terrace. This repair will cause a water service interruption until the repairs are made. Normal water service will return before 6AM (September 27th). We appreciate your patience.

Krystle Campbell Peace Garden
The City of Medford is pleased to announce the unveiling of the Krystle Campbell Peace Garden on Sunday, September 25th at 2PM. On this day, we will remember the victims, their families, first responders and those survivors who have suffered so greatly from the Boston Marathon Bombings. This dedication will last approximately 90 minutes. The site is located on the grounds of the Medford Senior Center at 101 Riverside Ave. Clippership Drive and parts of Riverside Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic during the dedication. Police officers will be on scene to help detour traffic. Please plan accordingly. Thank-you
Pancreatic Cancer 5K Run and Walk
This Saturday, September 24th there will a Pancreatic Cancer 5K Run and Walk here in Medford. All proceeds will benefit Pancreatic Cancer Research. Please be advised there will be traffic disruptions from approximately 9AM until approximately 1PM. The Run and Walk will travel from the American Legion Hall on Winthrop St. northerly onto Main St in Winchester, where it will turn around and return over the same route back to the American Legion on Winthrop St. During the race, portions of Winthrop Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. Northbound traffic will be diverted at the Winthrop Rotary onto High St. Southbound traffic will be diverted onto Playstead Rd. Traffic exiting Medford High School will be directed northerly toward Playstead Rd. There will be no access to Winthrop St. from any side streets along the route except Playstead Rd. We will restore traffic to its normal pattern as soon as it is safe to do so. We ask that you please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
