Please be advised that on Sunday, March 12th, the Running of the Leprechauns 5K Road Race and Walk will take place beginning at the American Legion on Winthrop Street in Medford. This event will benefit Boston Children’s Hospital. It is scheduled to begin at 11AM, however the set up for the event will begin earlier. Traffic in and around Medford Square will be disrupted from approximately 10AM to 1PM. Winthrop Street will be shut down from Lawrence Rd to the Winthrop Street Rotary. Riverside Ave will also be shut down between Medford Square and Spring Street as the Road Race proceeds to Freedom Way and finally back to the American Legion on Winthrop Street. Police officers will be on scene to divert traffic away from the event. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
March Mobile Food Market
On Saturday, March 11th from 1PM to 2PM there will be a Mobile Food Market available for Medford residents in need at the WIC Office located at 239 Commercial Street in Malden, weather permitting. Donations of fresh produce, dairy, and other refrigerated items are offered free of charge. Please bring a reusable shopping bag or cart to transport food home. A shuttle service will be provided from Medford City Hall to the Mobile Market starting at 11:30AM on March 11th. You must pre-register by calling (781)393-2439. Thank-you.

Brooks School Meeting
On Thursday, March 2nd at 7PM at the Brooks Elementary School, there will be a Complete Streets Informational Meeting that will discuss projects designed to improve pedestrian and vehicular safety throughout Medford. The projects highlighted in this meeting will be the intersection of High Street at Brooks Elementary School, Warren Street and Canal Street in West Medford, and Winthrop Circle. March Police Community Meeting
