We know there is growing concern as the outbreak and impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve. Ensuring overall public safety and the well being of the residents of Medford has always been, and will continue to be, our top priority. We have been working diligently with other local agencies and City officials in order to best prepare ourselves to handle any calls for service that we may encounter. We would ask for cooperation and understanding as it relates to taking universal precautions and informing our responding police officers, firefighters, EMS and public safety dispatchers of any potential medical issues that you, or anyone in your household may have, as it relates to the possible exposure to COVID-19.
It is important that members of the Medford Police Department, as well as the members of our community, take all protective measures so that services can be provided in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
The Police Department is a 24/7 operation and we will continue to be so. Having said that, we would respectfully request that walk-ins and visitors to the police station be limited to urgent public safety matters requiring immediate assistance.
To report a past crime or an incident that does not require immediate police assistance, we would direct you to call the police station at 781-391-6404. You can also report a minor crime or incident by email to mpdrecords@medfordpolice.com. These options should NOT be used if you need any immediate emergency response.
Please provide all pertinent facts and contact information. We will monitor these communication channels and respond to you by phone.
Requests for copies of police reports or accident reports can be directed to mpdrecords@medfordpolice.com or call 781-391-6770.
