The Medford Police Department is pleased to announce that we have successfully transitioned to a new digital radio communication system as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and improve our communication capabilities. Digital radio communication systems offer clearer audio, increased security, better coverage, and more efficient and reliable coordination during multi-agency responses.
This upgrade is part of our commitment to leveraging technology to better serve and protect you, the members of our community. Please note that this change will not impact the way you contact the police in case of an emergency or non-emergency situation. You should continue to use 911 for emergencies and our non-emergency line (781) 395-1212 for routine matters.
