The Medford Police Department is pleased to announce the return of Chief Jack Buckley to active duty following a medical leave for a serious chronic illness that began in May 2025. Chief Buckley’s steadfast leadership and long-standing commitment to the Medford community have been greatly missed, and the Department looks forward to his continued guidance as we move forward.
The Department extends its sincere appreciation to Captain Paul Covino for his exemplary service over the past six months while serving as Provisional Chief during Chief Buckley’s absence. Captain Covino’s professionalism, integrity, and dedicated leadership ensured that the Department’s operations and community partnerships continued without interruption.
The Medford Police Department thanks both Chief Buckley and Captain Covino for their dedication to the Department and to the residents of the City of Medford.
