Please be advised that a Snow Emergency will go into effect today, Monday, January 26th beginning at 5PM and will continue until further notice. City Hall, the Senior Center, the Library and Medford Public Schools will also be closed on Tuesday. Further, all Public Meetings scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night have been cancelled including: School Committee, City Council and Board of Appeals.
While the Snow Emergency is in effect, the Winter Parking Restrictions will be enforced. No parking is allowed on either side of any street that is designated as an Emergency Artery. Please refer to our website at www.pdmamedford.wpengine.com for the list of Snow Emergency arteries. During the Snow Emergency, the Odd-Even winter parking restrictions shall be in effect on all side streets, 24 hours a day, until the Snow Emergency is lifted. This winter, parking will be allowed on the even side only unless otherwise restricted. Vehicles parked in violation shall be ticketed and towed. We need everyone’s cooperation in order to keep our roads open and accessible. Please do not throw snow into the streets and attempt to get your vehicles off the street if possible.
Beginning on Tuesday, trash pick-up will be delayed one day every day this week. Please do not put your trash carts out until the day of your pick-up. This will help the plowing operations.
