This Saturday, August 26th from 10AM-5pm at Dugger Park, residents are invited to Hoops & Hope “Honoring Medford’s Youth”. Starting at 9am, Mystic River Road between Harvard Ave. and Fairfield St. will be closed to accommodate this community event, which features NBA basketball and NFL football clinics for youths ages 8-18, boys and girls basketball tournaments, a girl’s leadership roundtable and other family fun. It celebrates youth and honors the memories of Krystle Campbell and Brandon Bolden, while also fundraising for youth programs at the West Medford Community Center, a non-profit organization that supports youth and families in Medford.
There will be food trucks, a silent auction with Patriots and Celtics tickets and other NBA/NFL items up for grabs, along with a special dance performance from OrigiNation. Youths can register for the NBA basketball and NFL football clinics at www.hoopsandhope.org. All clinics are free of charge.
