Algonquin Gas Maintenance Work

Algonquin gas will be releasing a small quantity of odorized natural gas intermittently at its valve site in Medford, near the intersection of Auburn Street and Mystic Valley Parkway. The controlled releases of natural gas will occur from Monday, September 17 through September 28th between the hours of 7 AM and 7PM.

Algonquin personnel will be on-site during the entirety of the maintenance work. There may be an odor emanating from the site, There may also be a noise associated with this work. During the maintenance activities, if people in the vicinity of Auburn Street and Mystic Valley Parkway smell the odorant in natural gas or hear the noise associated with the controlled releases, there should be no cause for alarm. There will be no danger to persons or property in the area. In addition local police, fire, and municipal officials in Medford, Somerville, and Arlington have already been briefed.
