MassDOT will be paving part of Main St at the Cradock Bridge from Sunday, September 17th at 7AM to Monday September 18th at 3PM.
One southbound lane of Main St from High Street to the Route 16 on-ramp will be closed leaving only one southbound lane open. The Route 16 westbound on-ramp at Main St will also be closed. Detours will be in place and police officers will help direct traffic. The lane and ramp will be closed for excavation and paving. Expect traffic delays and seek alternate routes, if possible. Message boards will be deployed on Salem Street and High Street for advanced notification. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Medford Kiwanis Jail Day 5K Walk/Run
On Sunday, September 17th, there will be a Medford Kiwanis Jail Day 5K Walk and Run at 10AM. The race will begin and end at the Krystle Campbell Peace Garden, located at 97 Riverside Ave. Clippership Drive will be blocked off and Riverside Ave will be shut down from the beginning of Medford Square to Spring Street at approximately 9AM. Side streets intersecting Riverside Ave in this area will be blocked with no access to Riverside Ave. The race will proceed onto Riverside Ave to Freedom Way, where participants will eventually return onto Riverside Ave. Police officers will be on scene to direct traffic away from this area and to ensure the safety of the runners. Playstead Road Paving
Work crews will be paving Playstead Road tomorrow morning (Monday, September 11th) starting at 7AM. There will be heavy equipment in the area. There will be minor delays as side streets approach Playstead Rd. Paving should be complete in approximately four hours. We appreciate your patience. Thank-you

Medford Preliminary Election
On Tuesday September 12, 2017, there will be a City of Medford Preliminary Election for the Office of City Council only. The Office of the Mayor and School Committee will not be on the ballot.
The Polls will be open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM
If you’re unsure about your polling location please go to the City of Medford website at www.medfordma.org
If you are voting at any of the Medford Public Schools and Tufts University Gantcher Center, please be aware that schools will be in session and parking could be limited. Try to avoid peak traffic hours before and after the schools opening and closing.
