Medford Police Arrest Suspect Following Firearm Incident

On Friday, October 11, 2024, at approximately 1:40 am, officers responded to a call on Rockwell Avenue regarding an intoxicated individual who had brandished a firearm during an Uber ride. Upon their arrival, the individual had left, and a search of the area yielded no results.

Later that day, Medford Police followed up on the case and obtained surveillance footage of the suspect entering 3610 Mystic Valley Parkway. Subsequently, Medford Police obtained a search warrant for a specific apartment within 3610 Mystic Valley Parkway. The search warrant was executed at approximately 2:30 pm, and the suspect was located. During the search, officers discovered large amounts of drugs and money, as well as a loaded firearm. The serial number of the firearm had been scratched out, making it unreadable.

As a result of this investigation and subsequent search warrant, Jaliel Langston, 33, of Boston, was arrested and charged with the following:

– Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Subsequent Offense
– Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
– Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
– Possession of a Firearm with a Mutilated Serial Number during a Felony
– Drug Trafficking Class B
– Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Subsequent Offense

Mr. Langston is expected to be arraigned tomorrow at Somerville District Court.
