DIAL 911- for POLICE or FIRE or MEDICAL EMERGENCIES ONLY

Here are some considerations when deciding to call the police or fire. These considerations do not represent a comprehensive list of when or when not to call 911, instead they are a few suggestions to guide you in calling 911:

  • All medical emergencies should be called into 911
  • If you are in doubt as to the emergency status of an incident call 911 (better safe than sorry)
  • All crimes in progress (personal injury or damage to property) requiring police intervention – call 911
  • All personal injuries or dangerous situations involving motor vehicle accidents – call 911
  • Power failures (where no emergency is present), call 781-395-1212
  • Need to file a report about a past incident, call 781-391-6404
