Second Suspect Arrested in Connection with Shooting Incident

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on November 1, 2024, on Boston Avenue.

Sinai Stephens, 18, of Cambridge, was taken into custody today in Dorchester after Medford police detectives identified him as involved in the shooting that took place in Medford on November 1, 2024. Stephens is facing several charges in Somerville District Court, including:

• Assault & Battery with a Firearm
• Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
• Carrying a Firearm Without a License
• Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License
• Possession of Ammunition Without FID Card
• Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building

The incident occurred on Friday, November 1, 2024, at around 1 a.m. Two individuals fired multiple shots at a victim during an altercation near 364 Boston Avenue. Officers on the scene that morning located a firearm along with several shell casings. There were no reported injuries.

This arrest was made with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and members of the Boston Police Department.

A 16-year-old from Cambridge was arrested related to this incident on November 5, 2024.
