February 19, 2014 Update: Medford’s Snow Emergency was lifted as of 10:30AM Wednesday, February 19th. PleaseNote: The Chief of Police has announced that effective tonight, February 19th, the Overnight Winter Odd/Even Parking ban shall be placed in effect until further notice for approximately one month. This has become necessary due to the large amount of snow on the side streets which has narrowed the streets considerably. Fire apparatus, ambulances, and sanders have been unable to travel on many side streets, jeopardizing public safety. Parking shall be allowed on the Odd numbered side of the street unless otherwise restricted. Vehicles parked on the Even numbered side of the street will be ticketed and may be towed if is it determined that the free flow of traffic is impeded. We thank you for your cooperation and ask that you advise your neighbors, family, and friends of this notice.
While the snow emergency is in effect, the winter parking restrictions will be enforced. No parking is allowed on either side of any street that is designated as an emergency artery (see list below). During the snow emergency, the odd-even winter parking restrictions shall be in effect on all side streets, 24 hours a day, until the snow emergency is lifted. When the snow emergency is in effect for this year winter, parking will be allowed on the
odd side only unless otherwise restricted. Vehicles parked in violated shall be ticketed and towed. We need everyone’s cooperation in order to keep our roads
