Public Information Meeting – Green Line Proposal
On Monday, November 20th, MassDOT and the MBTA are hosting a Public Information Meeting in Medford on a proposed second segment of the Green Line Extension to Medford.
The meeting will present a preliminary proposal for a one-mile extension of the Green Line along the MBTA Lowell Line commuter rail right of way from the currently planned terminus at College Avenue in Medford to Mystic Valley Parkway (Route 16) in Medford and Somerville.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 20th, at Tufts University’s Breed Memorial Hall, located at 51 Winthrop Street.

High Street Grinding – November 20th
The City of Medford is scheduled to start Grinding High Street from Mystic Street to Playstead Road during the day on Monday, November 20th. Grinding is a necessary step before paving begins. The parking lot in the area will remain open. Parking will be reinstated on High Street as soon as the Grinding is complete. We appreciate your patience.
Mystic River Road Water Service
Medford’s Water Department will be shutting down water service on Mystic River Road at 1PM today (Saturday, November 18th) to make repairs to the water system. Normal water service will return after repairs are complete, which should take about 4-5 hours. We appreciate your patience.
