The Medford Police Department is excited to announce that MPD Junior Police Academy is BACK this summer – this time for TWO weeks!
This free, week-long program gives students a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement through hands-on activities, team-building challenges, and interactive learning alongside Medford Police officers.
This year, we are offering two separate weeks with the same or similar schedule to allow more cadets the opportunity to participate.
Program Details:
Week 1: July 14–18, 2026
Week 2: July 20–24, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily
Location: Medford High School
Eligibility:
• Students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
• MUST be a Medford resident
• Cadets may attend one week only to allow more students to participate
• If you attended last year, preference will be given to students who are new to the program
We are also looking for high school-aged counselors to help assist with the program. This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours while mentoring younger students.
Wondering what the JPA is like? Check out last year’s graduation video.
We expect that both weeks will fill up fast. You will be notified via email if you have been put on a waitlist.
