The Medford Police are currently investigating several house breaks that occurred in the last few days in the area of Woburn St, specifically Suffolk St, Wyman St, and Barnard Rd. Preliminary information reveals that these breaks occurred during night time hours after 10pm and access was either gained or attempted via second floor windows. In one incident the homeowner noticed the suspect attempting to gain entry and the suspect fled. The description provided to Officers was that the suspect was a young, tall, black male, medium build, possibly in his 20’s. No clothing or further description at this time.
We are asking that residents lock all doors and windows, even windows on the second floor that are potentially accessible via a landing/awning/deck, etc. Keep any ladders out of view and inaccessible to a potential suspect. Be alert for anyone suspicious in the neighborhood.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information please contact Detective Marc Gigante at 781-391-6767 Ext 767 or Detective Michael Pellegrino at 781-391-6767 Ext 765. (mgigante@medfordpolice.com mpellegrino@medfordpolice.com)
