Hello, This is Captain Barry Clemente with an informational message. Medford Overcoming Addiction and Medford’s Office of Prevention and Outreach will be hosting a Candlelight Remembrance Walk and Vigil on Thursday, December 1st. Many families in Medford have lost loved ones to the disease of addiction. This event is to remember those who have lost their lives and to support the families. The evening will begin at the Grace Church located at 160 High Street at 6:30 PM for a vigil and a prayer, followed by a candlelit walk to City Hall. Medford City Hall will have a family Christmas Festival. A Remembrance Christmas Tree will be decorated with ornaments that remembers loved ones to keep their spirit alive during the Holiday Season. Parking at City Hall is recommended. Parking is also available at the Grace Church lot. If you cannot make the Vigil, you are welcome to come to the event at City Hall around 7:15PM. All are welcome. For further information, please contact Penny Funaiole, Medford’s Prevention and Outreach Manager at pbruce@medford.org or at 781-393-2449.
