Douglas Road Water System
Hello, This is Captain Barry Clemente with an informational message. Work crews will be on Douglas Road tomorrow morning (Wednesday January 10th) working on the water system. They will be removing some of the snow, making room for their equipment. Please do not park in the work areas. We appreciate your patience. Thank-you.
Waste Management Pickup
Due to the significant amount of snow we have received, Waste Management and the City of Medford recognize that delays in trash pickup have occurred and apologize for the inconvenience.
Additionally, if your trash and/or recycling was not picked up on your scheduled day last week, it will be picked up on your next scheduled trash or recycle day. If your trash has not been picked up on your scheduled day this week, it will be picked up the following day.
If you have an excess of trash due to the delay, Waste Management will pick-up additional standard trash bags (without purchase) this week only. Please remember that additional trash must still be bagged properly, tied tightly and placed neatly curbside next to Waste Management bins.
Also, Christmas trees remain on schedule to be picked up this week. Thank you for your patience.
Snowbound Vehicles
We have been receiving numerous complaints of vehicles parked on public ways that have not been cleared and shoveled free from snow banks. This should be done within 48 hours of a snow storm according to our City Ordinances. In an effort to keep our streets safe and clear, vehicles found to be snowbound will be subject to tagging and towing. As always, we appreciate your cooperation. Thank-you.
Christmas Tree Collection – Water
Christmas trees will be collected on your collection day the week of January 8th. This will be the only week Christmas Trees will be collected. Also, with more cold weather in the forecast, it is advisable to allow a thin stream or trickle of water run from a faucet in your home to help prevent pipes from freezing. Thank-you.
